I was about to let tou know. I don't know who else did so, but I sent an email to Private Eye outlining the sorry tale and pointing out one or two blog sites to obtain further information. I also touched on the interesting hemlock story. I really thought it was a subject that would interest them and that they should pursue.
Yes, I am puzzled as to why they named "Dr Scot", given that everyone else reporting the story (in blogs and local news outlets) had studiously avoided doing so.

Seeing the tale unfold on the blogs along with the hemlock twist was more fascinating than the Private Eye account.
Private Eye were far too slow with this one, and also named the Doctor, which I feel was unnecessary.
