Merry Christmas!

Woo! This has to be one of the best songs for getting people in the Christmas spirit!

Glad you like the song. I don't have a monopoly on YouTube, Sam, and wouldn't have been offended had you run the same clip. As you know we bloggers pinch a lot of ideas from each other. I find that healthy and one of the attractions of blogging.

I am really glad to learn that you get something out of Grumble's ramblings and if the blog appeals to both ends of the age spectrum that is a bonus.

The song looks good on your site ... but I have now linked to it too, thanks Dr G

Hope you're having a wonderful day ... and it's good to know the Witch is flying about and is due to land soon ... wish doctor Crippen and Dr Rant were here too ... the blogosphere needs YOU guys! ...

Merry Christmas all .. and black cat of course :-)

Thanks, Sam. I think we have all been a little concerned about the Witch Doctor who seemed to leave the scene a bit precipitously. She guards her identity well and we have to avoid asking what the problem was though we would all like to know.

"'we' would 'all' like to know."

'We' do?! are you talking in the plural as do 'nobility', or you mean 'we' as in you and other 'remaining' soon to disappear if this disertion continues bloggers Dr G?! Shame because it was a really thriving and make lots of difference community upto only a few months ago! Each one had a unique style too!

Moi, I just miss everybody and hope they all come back.

:-D

Doctors can be accused from time to time of using the royal we just as Mrs Thatcher did when she became a grandmother.

I do find myself saying 'we' to patients by which I sometimes mean you the patient together with me the doctor which is how it should be. Or I can mean we the team looking after you.

I did think of doing a post once on doctors and the royal we.

Above I intended 'we' to mean those of us who have been wondering what is up with the Witch Doctor. It's clear the others have been missing her.

I have no worries about using the royal we as a blogger but I don't want to be a royal doctor.

My god, you fall sooo quick Dr G! I was only pulling your leg cos after all you did use the word 'all' after you said 'we' ... and that cancels the noble perception, doesn't it?

There you go, a freee English language lesson ;-)

Only your reply just goes to show how 'modest' you lot are, it even gives you away! Because I always find it is mostly surgeons who use the word 'we' when talking to patients .. and no, there is no 'we' here because the surgeon won't be going under the knife while sleeping and having no clue what is being cut away! ... just the poor patient will! Cosy, eh?!

"Above I intended 'we' to mean those of us who have been wondering what is up with the Witch Doctor. It's clear the others have been missing her."

And why you lot also never like to show 'your' emotions?! Why can't you simply say I miss the Witch and hope she returns?! I did and so did Rita, why not you too?! Cos, after all, you do, ha?!

I think it may be best that you do write this post about your reasoning for the noble 'we' Dr G. I would be eagerly waiting! And maybe I should also write a post about this 'Moi' thingy, cos it has a story behind it too, you know!

:-D

Another topic for a post is why surgeons appear to have different personalities from physicians. Do surgeons start out with different personalities or do they change? There is not much data available to answer that question.

And why we don't show emotions. It is true that we don't. Yet another topic for a post.

There is always much more to write about than I will ever have time for.

C'est la vie.

Each one plays his/her part doctor ... and looks and speaks it too. This applies whether a surgeon, doctor, dentist, engineer, lawyer, economist .. etc ... etc

Trouble begins when roles are blurred though ... nurse playing doctor, for example ... then personas will just muddle up to suit and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde start to appeeeeeear @@

Well, it's the season to be merry doctor G - and yet another topic for you to write about :-D
