The Department of Health is encouraging GPs to play a game. It is called the Flu Pandemic Game. It's been specially adapted by the Department for GPs. How many of you have played it? You can find out what you need to play the game here: pdf.

8 people and a facilitator, for one hour. With travel time and the necessary explanation before/after the session, happen that's 2 hours for 9 professionals, or 18 hours time invested.

My, services must be positively awash with staff, to generate then undertake such, erm, illuminating activities.

Time for more cuts, eh!

There will always be a need for real clinical doctors. If you admire people like that keep your head down and turn yourself into a proper doctor. Try and ignore the nonsense that goes on in offices away from those at the coalface.

Dr G, you are emphasising the importance of the current drive for clinical leadership which should be to the highest level and the highest chair in health if it is to bear fruit and make useless and very costly 'games' like those redundant; hands on docs will always know better than those hiding in towers .. or those who are not docs at all .. It's logic :-)
